New partnerships to transform leisure travel experiences
Macau casino-resort Galaxy Macau and Chinese online travel giant Trip.com have inked a three-year partnership to deepen their integration across event curation, execution, and distribution. The deal, running from 2024 to 2027, aims to streamline the visitor journey from ticketing and trip planning to on-the-ground event delivery.
Combining Galaxy Macau's world-class venues like the 16,000-seat Galaxy Arena with Trip.com's global customer base could be a game-changer. "This partnership leverages the strengths of both organizations to create unrivaled entertainment experiences," said Galaxy Entertainment Group deputy chair Francis Lui. "Uniting event curation, venue expertise, and global ticket distribution will attract more visitors and strengthen Macau's status as a premier leisure destination."
Galaxy Macau already hosts major concert and sporting events, drawing international headliners like Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, and the NBA. With Trip.com's help, they hope to bundle those experiences into more seamless, attractive travel packages.
Simultaneously, in the Philippines
the Department of Tourism (DOT) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Newport World Resorts to promote integrated leisure tourism. Under the deal, Newport World's casinos, resorts, and entertainment enterprises will be promoted as key attractions in the DOT's "Love the Philippines" and "Discover More to Love" destination marketing campaigns.
More on this is available via information about casino bonuses.
Newport World Resorts spokesman Michael Hull said the MOU allows them to develop stay, dine, and watch packages centered on Manila. "We aim to make Newport City a highlight of visitors' Philippine itineraries, with our newest Platinum Hotel Manila emerging as a premier destination in Asia."
In a separate move, Chinese entertainment and gaming firm International Entertainment Corp has entered the Philippine online gaming market. Its local venture, New Coast Leisure, will partner Total Gamezone Xtreme, a branch of DigiPlus Interactive, to build, aggregate and manage digital gaming products. The two-year deal, which can be renewed, will cover content linked to LaVie Manor Online Casino in Metro Manila. Financial terms and any regulatory approval requirements were not disclosed.
Together, these moves reflect growing efforts to bundle entertainment and gaming with a full-service leisure travel package. No longer simply add-on attractions, major live events and online gaming experiences are becoming core components of the overall trip experience. Seamlessly integrating these can attract customers, lengthen stays, and capture more of the tourism dollar across the region.
